 On February 14 2008, at the Athens Concert Hall, the Memorandum Commitment of the XIII Special Olympics World Summer Games ATHENS 2011 was signed, between Special Olympics International, Greek Government and the Organizing Committee.
In addition, 13 representatives of the Communications Sector have been declared as Goodwill Ambassadors of the Special Olympics World Summer Games ATHENS 2011 and have undertaken the communication campaign to the Society about the Importance of those Special Games, which came under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr Karolos Papoulias.
