On Saturday 25th of June the Opening Ceremony will mark the official beginning of the Special Olympics World Summer Games – ATHENS 2011 at the Athens Olympic Stadium, where the Athens 2004 Olympic Games were hosted.
Being the most well-kept secret of all Olympic Games, the Opening Ceremony promises an emotional, cultural and entertaining beginning to the Games.
The Closing Ceremony will take place on the 4th of July 2011 at the historic Athens Marble Stadium, under the shadow of the Acropolis, where the first Modern Olympic Games took place in 1896.
It will be an event where spectators, volunteers, sponsors, celebrities from around the world, friends and family members will celebrate the effort and achievements of the athletes to officially close the Athens 2011 Games and deliver the Special Olympics Flag to the next Organizing City.
