7.000 athletes and 3.000 Delegation members are expected to participate in the Special Olympics World Summer Games – ATHENS 2011 from over than 180 countries and Special Olympics Programs from around the world.  Special Olympics athletes not competing in the world Games will play crucial leadership roles off the sports fields as officials, assistant coaches, reporters and spokespeople.
