Sports Competitions
World Games continues with various competition events; the competition schedule can be found on www.athens2011.org. For overview of schedules – look under tab “Sports” – “Schedule of the Games”. For sport specific information – look under tab “Results and Reports” and click on appropriate sport and date. Best attempts are being made to post schedules/results within 3-4 hours upon the completion of the sport specific competition of the day. Please check online periodically for updates.
Healthy Athletes Screening (Open 9:00 – 18:00)
Location: Helexpo Palace
At the Healthy Athletes venue, Senior World Games, Special Olympics, Greek Government, and health organization representatives offer free health screenings and products to Special Olympics athletes throughout the Games. Tours of the health facilities are available.

Special Olympics Conversation – From the Founder to the Future: The Importance of Women in the Special Olympics Movement
Location: Terpsichore Ballroom D, Hilton Hotel
One of the ways Special Olympics will take a step towards achieving gender equality is by unveiling language aligned with the recent amendment to the Olympic Charter: "The IOC encourages and supports the promotion of women in sport at all levels and in all structures, with a view to implementing the principle of equality of men and women." This conversation will discuss how to promote gender equality in Special Olympics.

Unity Sports Press Conference
Location: OAKA Main Press Conference Room
Kevin Farr, Michelle Kwan, and Dikembe Mutombo will address the media on how Unity Sports is changing perceptions and break down barriers for people with intellectual disabilities, by uniting people in the joy of competition. Media interviews will be available after the press conference with the panelist, Apolo Ohno and Mario Ancic.
