Marios Nikolaides, 38, technical delegate of European Tenpin Bowling Association has been invited by World Tenpin Bowling Association in Blanos Sports Park where bowling is held during Special Olympics Athens 2011. SOI and WTBA have signed a letter of agreement so as to help each other as far as the organization of sport of bowling during Games is concerned.
Marios Nikolaides assumes that if information of coaches and National Associations would continue in an acceptable way, the sport would evolve and its organization into Special Olympics edition would improve. “National Associations should be informed better”, Marios states. Most coaches of the athletes are the special teachers of the people and social workers that deal with their special needs. Demanded that they have been educated and trained in a wise way, they would be more effective in teaching athetes the needs of sports and, as a matter of fact, to help the athletes of Special Olympics itselves to improve!
