Tomorrow, in addition to regular competitions finishing up before our Special Olympics World Summer Games ATHENS 2011 Closing Ceremony on 4 July, there are also a few more ‘Unity Sports Events’ featuring athletes with and without intellectual disabilities playing together on the same field:
· Unity Sports Event – Half Marathon and 10K (8:00am start time): Panathinaiko Stadium (and city of Athens)
· Unity Sports Event – Football (11:45am – 12:30pm): Hellinikon – Olympic Hockey Venue - - featuring Lucas Radebe, Enrique Borgas, Alex Aguinaga & others.
· Unity Sports Event – Table Tennis (1:00pm – 2:00pm): Peace and Friendship Stadium – Sports Training Hall - - featuring The Wonder Girls
· Unity Sports Event – Bowling (1:00pm – 2:00pm): Spata Blanos Sports Park
· Unity Sports Event – Aquatics (3:00pm – 3:30pm): OAKA Competition Pool - - featuring Olympic medalist John Naber
· Unity Sports Event – Basketball (3:00pm – 4:30pm): OAKA Olympic Indoor Hall-Main Area - - featuring Dikembe Mutumbo, Vlade Divac and others
· Unity Sports Event – Bocce (5:30pm – 6:30pm): Peace and Friendship Stadium – Sports Training Hall
